The BAWO COLLEGE OF NURSING SCIENCES DAURA is a private Nigeria College of Nursing Sciences that is a private initiative of the sole Proprietor and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. IBRAHIM ISAKA. The institution was registered as a college of Nursing Sciences, “BAWO COLLEGE OF NURSING SCIENCSES DAURA” with the CORPORATE AFFAIRS COMMISSION (CAC) and at the subsequent time engaged the list of professional support of the pioneering strategic advisory board members who anchored the navigation of the political, geographical, multicultural and academic training schemes reviewed in establishing the institution targeted to transform Nursing Practices.

The Nationale for setting up the BAWO COLLEGE OF NURSING SCIENCSES DAURA  is to provides access to high standard and qualitative Nurses and midwives for driven Nursing Practices to Katsina state in particular and nation at large.

BAWO COLLEGE OF NURSING SCIENCSES DAURA aspires to contribute towards fulfillment of growing requirement for continuous process of Nursing, improvement, and integration of new tools, and systems to enhance efficiency, productivity, and convenience in Nursing sciences. This will create platforms to Human Resources Management, administration and Nursing training and related job opportunities to the country’s youth.

BAWO COLLEGE OF NURSING SCIENCSES DAURA is located in Daura Senatorial Zone of Katsina State comprises of 12 LGAs out of which 5 are under Daura Emirate. The projected population of Daura Zone is 3,504,400 and the Emirate 1,684,900. There are less than 100 Nurses and Midwives in Daura Emirate.

Both Daura Zone and Emirate faces enormous challenges in health service delivery with high rate of maternal death as a result of lack or unavailability of trained nurses and midwives.

Bawo College of Nursing Sciences Daura was established in February, 2024 under charity foundation as a non-profit making private institution. It is the first-ever College of Nursing Sciences in Daura Zone. Aimed at filling nursing sciences education gaps in Daura zone. Desirous to overcome challenges in health service delivery. Meets need for trained nurses and midwives in Daura zone and Katsina state in general.
